After graduating, I participated in Harvard’s Graduate School of Design Design Discovery program. At Harvard’s Design Discovery program we were tasked with redesigning East Boston’s Pier’s Park to accomodate housing units, while being conscientious of climate change.
As a park that hugs East Boston’s waterfront, I had to take the rising sea levels into account. I conducted an analysis of the geographical area, urban setting, and population to get a better understanding of the needs of the local community. I also researched green infrastructure methods and best practices to develop the following plan. After consulting with the architecture leads at GSD and finalizing my design, I prototyped and laser-cut my design to create the following architectural model.
